On a sunny Saturday in the spring, we took some young ringers to ring at other towers… by boat on the Cam! We were privileged to go aboard the floating home of Matilda and her family. Ringing was at Chesterton, Fen Ditton and Horningsea. The best bit was that the young people all sat on top of the narrowboat all the way, though this did mean a phone was dropped into the water and lost. Handbells were rung inside the boat too. Thank you to Barry for organising, the towers for having us, and Matilda’s parents of course.
