If bell-ringing is to thrive and recruit a new generation of ringers, much more teaching of beginners needs to be done.

LEARNING TO TEACH

There is no need for either age or great experience to be an effective teacher, so the job of teaching new and upcoming ringers does not necessarily have to fall to tower captains or other older ringers.

The Association of Ringing Teachers was set up to promote good teaching techniques and to establish a qualification to demonstrate a reasonable level of ability. It can be difficult to achieve the qualification where there are few recruits or little encouragement to take this on.  At St Clement’s we can make this easy by providing what may be lacking elsewhere. Just get in touch to discuss how we can help.  You can also investigate how you can ‘Get Involved‘ by visiting the ART website.
